Fun Happenings At Our House

This morning Kiera announced, "Mom, when I'm older, and I'm a mom like you, I'm not going to do anything either...I'm just going to be a mom."    Huh?!?!?!

Tonight at bed-time, I was rocking Andrew and snuggling him.  He bowed his head and said, "Thank you God made people, thank you God made momma, thank you God made Sissy, thank you Andrew.  Amen"  I said a little prayer with him too and asked him why he thought God gave me the best boy in the world.  He thought for a second and smiled.  Then he said again, "Thank you, God, momma!"  He paused to give me a small hug and added, "I so proud of you!"  So sweet! ~ It made my heart smile!!

We just finished a lesson on prayer a few days ago.  I'd never really worked with Andrew on how to pray, what to pray, etc.  Today as I was getting lunch ready, he bowed his head, folded his hands, and said, "Thank you momma, thank you Sissy...Amen"  It was so sweet to hear him and it was fantastic to know that our Bible study time is having an impact on him as well as Kiera!

Okay, this has nothing to do with Bible studies, but we had a funny experience today with Kiera's new kitten, Meep.  Over the past week, we haven't been able to find him easily in the mornings.  We call and call until he finally comes very slowly from behind the landscaping in front of our house.  There isn't really much of a place to hide there, so when I couldn't find him today, I was curious and went to have a look.  I found Meep fairly quickly.  His tail and one hind leg were sticking out of our dryer vent!!  Looks like there's a project in my future to let the exhausted air out of the vent, but no kittens in...

I took a picture later in the day.  This seems to be Meep's favorite sleeping spot!

We've just finished studying creation.  I worked with Andrew (28 months old) on remembering the idea that "God made people and God made Andrew!"  I knew at the time that he was excited about it, but I didn't realize exactly how excited he was until later...  A day or so after our lesson on Adam's creation Andrew saw me doing a morning devotion.  He ran to the table saying, "God - Andrew!  God - Andrew!"  He hopped up in his booster seat and pointed to our Creation Box and looked for the picture he'd made to go along with that lesson.  He even wanted to make another picture of a person God created.  Later the same day my parents were over to visit.  I was outdoors with Kiera while my mom watched Andrew indoors.  When I came inside, Andrew was again pointing to the Creation box telling my mom, "God - Andrew, God - Andrew!"  I had to help explain what he was saying, but I love seeing God working on his heart even now at Andrew's very young age!!
